Square Meal review of Sen Nin Japanese Teppanyaki Restaurant:
This teppanyaki restaurant (formerly known as Ah-So) is a lively spot, with performing chefs making plenty of noise as they man the hotplates. Groups sit around tables topped with a teppanyaki grill &, after tucking into a bowl of miso soup, the show begins. Chefs pull up to tables with a trolley full of food & fry vegetables, then rice & finally a protein of choice (anything from chicken, prawns or steak). Though the chefs are as much expert jugglers as cooks, they made a perfectly good fist of frying the raw materials. It may not be haute cuisine, but it’s great entertainment (especially for kids) & shouldn’t break the bank – set meals start at £11.95, with children’s meals for less than a tenner.
