East End style bar The Redchurch is less slavishly Shoreditch than most, with a good mix of artfully dishevelled punters who won’t think less of you simply because you’re wearing last season’s trainers. We like the Red’s moodily lit trashed-up furniture & mature music policy that favours soul, rock ’n’ roll & Latin over formulaic electronica. A confident cocktail list is headed up by £6.50 Sazeracs & authentic margaritas, while ales such as America’s Anchor Steam & Goose Island IPA join less obvious Belgians such as Floris Ninkeberry & Liefmans Kriek.
