An offshoot of the first restaurant on Brick Lane to serve food from the subcontinent, Clifton offers a long list of tried-&-tested Bangladeshi, Pakistani & Indian favourites. Alongside all the usual curry-house suspects (chicken tandoori, lamb bhuna) are more interesting regional specialities such as king prawn cornofuli from the Bay of Bengal & aromatic Goan lamb xacuti, while a £7.45 express lunch guarantees diners will be in & out in 40 minutes. Notable cocktails & lassis at the small bar.
