Square Meal review of The Grapes:
Write your review
First opened in 1593, The Grapes oozes atmospheric charm. Every inch of this tiny wood-panelled pub is plastered with pictures & prints, while its dinky terrace hovers over the river. Timothy Taylor, Summer Lightning & Southwold Bitter are on tap & there’s an extensive list of bar snacks on offer downstairs. Fish from nearby Billingsgate forms the mainstay of the miniscule upstairs dining room, which is always popular with Canary Wharf office workers. Advance booking is recommended.
