Square Meal review of Galvin at Windows Bar at the London Hilton: ? Write your own review

This 28th floor luxury pad bang in the middle of the Monopoly board’s two most expensive squares is perhaps London’s finest example of the importance of location, location, location. You’ll enjoy an unbeatable wraparound panorama of all that the capital has to offer &, of course, it’s serviced to the highest standard & done out in the best possible taste. Price? Not cheap: the cheapest glass of red is £11.25, a bottle of house white £32, but if the altitude has gone to your head, there’s plenty of fizz from upwards of £200 & malts that include an Auchentoshan ’62 at £225… per glass! If your name’s not Donald Trump stick to a groovy cocktail range that hits some lofty peaks: Teeterin’ On The Edge (fashionable limoncello, orange bitters, lime & prosecco) & Gherkin (gin, Campari, lime, grapefruit juice, gomme & fresh cucumber) both come in at a relatively modest £11.95.

The best views in town certainly although not from every table, do ask. Its got a formal, contemporary feel the food is right up there, I am a fan of the amuse bouche if it feels like its been thought about as opposed to being a convenient way of using up some unwanted ingredients, here its very definately the former. That thoughtful approach is carried all the way through the meal. What appears on your plate is clearly the product of people who have great skill and the kind of palates professionals should have. The atmostphere is serious, the clientele what you would expect to find in hotel like the Hilton without the hookers. Great place to take your parents, loved one(s) or major client.
