Square Meal review of China Tang Bar:
Flag down a passing rickshaw & have it drop you at David Tang’s superswanky Cantonese bar at The Dorchester. Chinoiserie mixed with art deco evokes the Parisian beau monde of the 1920s & its centrepiece bar seems like as good a place for cocktails as any, dinner reservation or not. Singapore Sling is a nod to the Far East, but otherwise Westerners such as Manhattan, Rob Roy & Vodkatini have been allowed to Shanghai the menu. Cocktails not your thing? Sip Suntory Yamazaki 18-year-old Japanese whiskey or Tsingtao beer instead.
