One of London’s most beautiful interiors lies behind the hanging baskets & ornate ironwork frontage of this bijou pub. Dating back to 1870, its polished mahogany gothic island bar is surrounded by exquisite ‘brilliant-cut’ mirrors, worked in drop-dead gorgeous ornate floral patterns & lit by peach Art Nouveau lustres, making this baby a twinkle twinkle little star. There may not be enough room to swing a cat, but persevere over a pint of London Pride, Greene King IPA or a bottle of Lanson at a paltry £20. High Victorian gems such as this are thin on the ground & the location, off the fabulously upmarket Jermyn Street, make it an essential for local & tourist alike.
