The Vincent Rooms & Escoffier Room

This dining room is attached to Westminster Kingsway College & it’s where future star chefs learn their trade. So if you don’t mind the somewhat institutional atmosphere, you can eat well at a bargain price. On a good day, the cooking is cracking & the wide choice ranges from classics such as roast beef with creamed cabbage, herb Yorkshires, roast potatoes, horseradish cream & beef jus – carved at the table by students – to more modern offerings such as Parma ham with caramelised peaches, rocket salad & chilli dressing, with lemon tart for pud. Proceeds from the reasonable menu (about £20 for three courses) are pumped back into the school so you can leave feeling both full & charitable.
