As much about gossiping, eavesdropping & posing as it is about eating, 202 is nestled within the heart of the Nicole Farhi boutique on the most chi-chi stretch of Westbourne Grove. No surprises, then, that the menu touts a healthy line-up of salads – feta, pomegranate, mint & fennel; lentil, artichoke & beetroot; goats’ cheese with prosciutto, figs & toasted pistachios, for instance – but there’s also plenty to tempt those not over-bothered about their waistline, from French toast with maple syrup to fish & chips with mushy peas, side orders of corn bread with butter & puddings of chocolate cake with creme fraiche. If the sight of all those size-8 frocks induces a sense of guilt, fight for one of Westbourne Grove’s most sought-after alfresco tables outside in summer.
