Review of The Scarsdale Tavern:

Gorgeously set in leafy Edwardes Square, The Scarsdale is a true local for locals – though with the locale in question being Kensington, you can expect to find significantly better pub grub than Scotch eggs & pickled onions. Dishes chalked up on the blackboards might include half a duck oven-roasted with crushed pineapple & zesty orange sauce, while the large portions of lamb are always a reliable choice. Champagne bottles lining the wall are another nod to local tastes, though there’s also an extensive selection of bitter & lager on tap, from Foster’s, Stella, Staropramen & Erdinger to Young’s, Brakspear, London Pride & Waggledance. Georgian exteriors, Victorian interiors & a picturesque terrace add to the appeal.
