This smart restaurant attached to a boutique hotel ‘wouldn’t be out of place in the West End’, & is funkier than its Barnet location suggests. The interior is a smart, cool & neutral counterpart to well-prepared food that oscillates between the classic & the more adventurous. The speciality is grills, & while you might have wild halibut or rib-eye steak with fat chips, tartare or bearnaise sauce, roast tomatoes & watercress, there’s also roast quail & honey-glazed pork belly with pickled beetroot, dandelion & horseradish. Neighbourhood prices & excellent service are further pluses.
