Square Meal review of Bento Cafe:
Bento Cafe looks a little worn around the edges & its staff could be perkier, but the Camden crowds still flock here for a reasonably priced taste of Japan. Starters such as gyoza & corn fritters can be lacklustre, but the sushi is more reliable. The spicy tuna rolls stand out, as does the Crazy Boy – stuffed with eel, Japanese omelette & avocado – while chunky slices of sashimi & neat fingers of nigiri are top quality, too. Hot dishes include chicken teriyaki & the miso-marinated black cod, which may not be up there with the Nobu original, but still pleases. Bento boxes help to cut costs.
