The cooking at this South Indian specialist is a great draw for local Indian families & Hammersmith vegetarians, who particularly recommend the huge, freshly made & remarkably light uthappams, the wide choice of dosas & some great curries (the vegetable kootu, cooked in fresh coconut & yoghurt, gets our vote). There are, however, mild complaints about the amount of frying oil absorbed by the vadas (lentil doughnuts) & samosas. It’s a great weekday lunch spot, when you’ll get service at your fingertips as well as your pick of seating in the pleasant blond-wood room. Evenings & weekends have more atmosphere, but service tends to be a little more fraught.
