A proper pub with gastro leanings, this Chiswick landmark has managed to revive itself for the 21st century without losing its boozer appeal. Those who want to eat are well served with posh sandwiches (tomato & mozzarella baguette with basil mayo), platters to share (mezze, antipasto) & pub classics (pan-fried salmon with roasted veg, sausage, mash & onion gravy) with an unchallenging but well-priced wine list to match.
