Tucked off the High Street, but conveniently situated next to Putney’s shopping centre, this eatery for all seasons is easy to mistake for a sandwich bar & café – which, truth be told, it partly is. Venture inside for breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner & anything in between, to find a series of relaxed, intimate spaces enhanced by gold flock & jazzy mosaics. It’s an obvious stop-off for young shoppers, but also attracts an older crowd. The menu is unchallenging – start with a mezze plate to share & progress to sausages & mash or monkfish with Parma ham & aubergine. There are grander dishes for those that want them, but these aren’t always as successful. Staff, though not always wildly efficient, are friendly enough. There’s another branch in Richmond.
