Square Meal review of The Table:
The Table is the staff canteen for the architecture practice Allies & Morrison, yet outsiders are welcome to enter this airy space & take an available seat at one of the big refectory tables too. The menu, which leans towards mod-Med with a Californian twist, is, like the surroundings, sleek, slick & bang on target. At lunchtimes there’s a terrific salad bar, stonkingly good sarnies & a range of hot dishes that might include roast beef with root veggies or freshly grilled sardines. The only snag is that good news spreads fast, so it can be difficult to find a space to sit at peak hours – which is where The Table’s takeaway option comes into play.
