The refurbished Crown & Two Chairman is a useful mix of gastropub, cocktail lounge & pleasing upstairs bar that mixes 1960s Paris pad with Portobello Road market stall. An interesting range of regularly rotated speciality beers usually includes Maredsous, Kuppers Kolsch & Paulaner on tap, & fruit beers such as Belle Vue Kriek for those who like that sort of thing. A worthwhile wine list embraces gluggable reds from around £12 & spicy Spaniards at upwards of £25. This popular (& noisy) space offers something for everyone, extending to an easy food offering of sandwiches, burgers & seafood.
