The Couch is part of the Massive Pubs portfolio, so expect a well-planned mix of disciplined service, good food & fair wines at affordable prices. Some might think it lacks individual character, but it will work for All Bar One fans who like to know what they’re in for: in this case, around 15 quaffable wines by-the-glass, San Miguel, Kronenbourg Blanc, Budvar & bottled ales such as Theakston’s Old Peculiar. Gastro faves (haddock fishcakes, Peking duck wraps) are served until mid-evening, by which time there will be little chance of bagging one of the pub’s namesake leather couches.
