The Long Acre puts in long hours: from serving full English breakfast to hungover bed-heads, to snacks for late-night stragglers hoping to minimise the effects of one too many Staropramens. A useful stop-off point at the junction of Soho & Covent Garden, it offers an adequate range of fail-safe wines, house cocktails starting at a fiver, & mocktails at half that. The decor is contemporary-veering-towards-the-anodyne, although we like the timbered recesses & retro-style booths. Stylish in a middle-of-the-road way – if this bar wore a designer label, it would be Ted Baker.
