The bar is modern Indian Mint Leaf’s trump card, a winning combo of sensational cocktails in sexy surroundings: slate, leather, carved teak screens & subdued lighting lend an air of Asian mystery (a bit like an Indian Hakkasan). Spot-on cocktails include exemplary Fig Sours (£8.50) &, for those not moving on to Mint Leaf’s discreet dining rooms, snacks include cottage cheese & pimento roti & fried black tiger prawns. People-watching is all part of the fun – is that really Lucy Liu sinking a Sazerac at the bar? If you’re bored with lacklustre cocktail joints, this is a good bet.
