You won’t need a satnav to find the London offshoot of this Dublin brewing outfit: the clamour of the post-work crowd on the kerbside courtyard signals the spot. This juggernaut of a venue is a labyrinthine sprawl of parlours, snugs & recesses that might be mistaken for a Tim Burton film set. Pick of the home-brewed draughts are the coppery Porterhouse Red, subtle Turner’s Sticklebract Bitter & chocolatey Brainblasta which, at 7% abv, does exactly what it says on the pump, but it’s also worth checking out the trio of bespoke stouts (including full-bodied Wrasslers). The pub parades more than 100 bottled beers, too – a boozy United Nations that embraces everywhere from Albania to Zambia via Brigadoon & Narnia. Matching the liquid treasures is a menu of belly-filling pies, veggie sausages, pizzas & puds.
