Bigger & newer than its siblings, this buzzy outpost of the Lewis & Clarke chain nevertheless shares their virtues, from its funky & eclectic decor to the fresh daily fish specials on the versatile menu. Lunch might start with a crab, spring onion & ginger tart or Thai-style beef salad with nam jim dressing before a Barnsley chop with crushed new potatoes, olives & mint pesto or perhaps chargrilled tuna with sweet potato mash, pepper & coriander salsa. Affordable wines are listed by style & start with a £15.20 Ca’Luca Italian Merlot, rising to a 2003 1er Cru Mont de Milieu Chablis at £35. The basement wine bar is plusher & more intimate, with grander wines.
