The Windmill

Day beds, cheerful striped cushions & a red colour scheme jazz up the traditional – albeit diminutive – pubby setting at The Windmill, in much the same way as the Italian cooking adds Mediterranean brio to the gastropub concept. So you might lunch on Madagascan prawns wrapped in Parma ham & served with a white wine, garlic & chilli sauce before a main course of spaghetti bianco lucanico with olive oil, garlic, chilli, white wine & a sausage ragu. Even the rib-eye steak has an Italian accent, pan-fried with red wine jus & pesto. The short wine list is Italian dominated.
