Square Meal review of Upper Deck Restaurant & Bar:

Handy for exhibition-goers visiting Excel, the first floor of this contemporary hotel is taken over by a light-filled dining room furnished with pine floors, dark wood tables & huge floor-to-ceiling windows that lead out onto a large terrace with great views of the Thames. The menu is a short list of fusion-inspired dishes: start with wasabi tuna tartare, move on to pan-fried sea bass fillet & finish with great tiramisu. A succinct & predictable wine list offers two dozen-or-so choices from around the world, most under £30. The restaurant also shares the floor with a huge bar area & a cute espresso bar that serves sandwiches & salads.
