The food at this lively local restaurant & bar is an odd combination of exotic & basic – deep fried calamari rings, mezze plates & Angus sit alongside a Thai-flavoured kangaroo & crocodile platter & ostrich fillet. A burger topped with pineapple & Red Leicester mayo is beyond categorisation. Though the cooking’s fine, it’s not going to win any prizes. The singing waitresses belting out jazz & opera is a love-it-or-loathe-it proposition. We gather that the Ocean’s 13 cast were in the former camp.
