Overlooking a roundabout where the Isle of Dogs meets Canary Wharf, this huge Turkish restaurant serves up impressive food. And it’s not just the standard line up of hoummos, dolma & falafel, but also more modern interpretations such as light & fresh smoked salmon in a basil dressing. Options from the grill come highly recommended: both the izgara tavuk (tender chicken breast in a marinade of milk & garlic) & lamb kofta are suitably succulent, while vegetarians can sink their teeth into stuffed artichokes & aubergines. The decor of earthy tiles, mosaics & murals is undeniably Turkish, but in case it slips your mind, belly dancers make regular appearances during the evening.
