Square Meal review of Alisan:
Undaunted by its less-than-salubrious surroundings in the middle of a soulless retail park overshadowed by the imposing Wembley Stadium, Alisan churns out high-quality food, including an excellent array of dim sum. Highlights include pert scallop shu mai & delicious chiu chow dumplings topped with a vinegary dipping sauce. In the evening a Cantonese menu takes over, offering all the usual suspects alongside more adventurous dishes such as stir-fried ostrich in rice wine sauce. There are pre-concert menus if you’re in a rush, otherwise the lounge bar upstairs serves drinks & bar snacks. With large windows & flat-screen TVs that look like fish tanks, the modern grey & black interior can feel a bit cold when the place isn’t busy.
