The tall windows & high ceilings in this former print workshop may suggest a converted New York loft, yet its food & raison d’etre are as Parisian as this brasserie’s name. Okay, there is the odd transatlantic incursion (the hamburger, for one) to throw you off the scent, but the bulk of the menu is devoted to classic, generally tasty brasserie fare – terrines, confits, soups & tarte tatins. Dark woodwork framed by monochromic tiling & wallpaper provides a masculine backdrop for corporate dining, while a range of good-value wines & inviting cocktails makes the bar a pleasant detour on the way home from work & brunch options slot into Sunday itineraries (it’s dinner only on Saturdays).
