This charmingly refurbished pub in the Angel backstreets has a great neighbourhood feel. It offers a canny mix of superior bar snacks including homemade Scotch eggs, a daily menu of more substantial, earthy dishes such as potted crab with aioli & toast, or merguez sausages with Puy lentils & creme fraiche, good bitters, & a friendly staff. Music is funky, though the age range is from toddler to septuagenarian, with no one made to feel out of place.
