It should come as no surprise to learn that most of Chez Patrick’s customers are loyal regulars. Much of this cosy, backstreet restaurant’s charm is driven by its eponymous owner, who welcomes each guest like a long-lost relative & knows most of them by name. For some, it’s the ‘epitome of neighbourhood charm’, with impressive food that embraces all the bistro standards including rich fish soup with traditional accompaniments (rouille, Gruyère cheese & croûtons), garlic snails, & duck confit served with sautéed potatoes & a simple salad. Prices are very reasonable, with house wine at £13.95 & a three-course, fixed-price dinner a very reasonable £16.90. In all, this is a ‘little island of Frenchness’ in W8, packed with locals who know when they’re on to a good thing.
