The Club Bar & Dining

With its lively outlook, The Club Bar & Dining shows no sign of losing its hip edge two years after opening. The ground-floor restaurant & bar, decked out in exposed brickwork & leather booths, is busy throughout the day, filled with small groups out for a light bite, cocktail & chat. The menu is designed by themes rather than courses (‘seafood & raw bar’, ‘small plates’, ‘salads’ or ‘to share’) making it difficult to negotiate, but the food doesn’t disappoint. Seared yellowfin tuna with crispy mussels & soy jelly sounds an odd combo but works well, while more down-to-earth steak with watercress truffle butter & baked lemon cheesecake are also competently turned out.
