Spread over four floors, from an angelic white-on-cream dining room in the penthouse to a street-level, butterfly-embossed bar, Mews may look like a haven for moneyed Bond Street shoppers, but it’s surprisingly affordable. How many self-respecting West-End establishments admit lunchtime punters for £15 in return for feeding them confit duck salad with chorizo dressing followed by pork fillet with garlic mash? Few customers are bargain-hunting, of course, but if a 30-strong Champagne list doesn’t keep the fashionistas happy, a consistently light touch applied to the likes of yellowfin tuna with aubergine & burrata or tiger prawns with chilli & garlic almost certainly will. The recently added La Cave doubles as a wine shop & private room, providing a secluded, clubby setting for parties or business entertaining.
