Square Meal review of Siam Central:

It may not be as chi-chi as some of its Charlotte Street neighbours, but Siam Central ticks all the boxes – sweet-natured service, attractive but down-to-earth surrounds, a relaxed atmosphere & competently cooked food at sensible prices. Making a pleasant change to the Thai norm, tapas-size dishes allow diners to munch their way through a range of flavours, from Singha beer-battered squid to steamed sea bass with ginger & soy or satay prawns. Larger appetites should have a few of these before moving on to more substantial mains: stir-fried pork with chilli & Thai basil, or spicy jungle curry (without coconut milk). There are also noodle & salad options & the set lunch, available Mon-Fri 12N-5pm, is great value at £5.50/£7.50 for one/two courses.
