With its huge, street-facing windows, Taittinger prints & sizeable Champagne list, Amuse Bouche was an instant hit with attention-seeking, fizz-loving Fulhamites when it opened in 2006. Five years down the line, the place has lost some of its sheen & tough competition has lured many of the poseurs elsewhere. Nonetheless, AB still has a palpable air of cool – especially if you are perched by the open window on a sunny day. The fizz starts at £20 for house Crémant de Bourgogne, with prices rising to £250 for a jeroboam of Louis Roederer Brut Premier NV; bin-ends are chalked up on the specials board, & those not sold on fizz can settle for a classic cocktail, wine or beer. Dinky canapés are on hand to soak it all up.
