This Tardis-like, handsome modern bar is much bigger than its narrow frontage would suggest. A long bar stretches far back from the street along the right hand side of the room, while on the left are a couple of intimate mezzanine seating areas. Food offerings are both light – a hot crunchy chicken fillet wrap – or substantial, such as a steak, mushroom & stout pie with wholegrain mustard mash. Wash it down with an affordable bottle from the short wine list; alternatively there are classic cocktails by the glass or jug.
