Square Meal review of Fish Club:
Though less jam-packed than when it was first on the scene, Fish Club is still justly popular for its assortment of squeaky-fresh, well-cooked fish. At peak times seating can be in short supply, as punters choose from a selection of choice catches like Dover sole, mackerel & sardines with parsley & garlic alongside the inevitable, beer-battered coley & cod (line caught, of course). Douse your chips in vinegar, if you must, but saffron aioli & sweet chilli sauce offer delectable dipping alternatives. Similarly, decent salads can substitute for classic mushy peas. The wine list, however, is not a strong point.
