Blink & you’ll miss the entrance to this arty Manhattan-style dive bar just over the road from Liberty. A postage stamp of a space, 22 Below is a big-hearted affair frequented by Soho’s iBook classes. Well made, if occasionally oddball, cocktails include the Bacardi, lime, coconut & lemongrass-based Thai Sorbet & a range of toddies. House Champagne Mercier at £28 suggests level-headed mark-ups while a wine list of a dozen or so bottles offers a sturdy Argentinian Chardonnay at £14.50. Med/Asian food to share works well & house & hip-hop DJs create a weekend pre-party vibe.
