There’s more than a touch of theatre to dining at DeVille thanks to a lavish interior design characterised by floral wallpaper, humorous Perspex-framed paintings & Venetian mask lights. You might expect the food to be equally over the top, but the menu is unpretentious & refreshingly good value, with an emphasis on regional British produce. An evening meal could be John Ross organic smoked salmon with lemon & creme fraiche, followed by Buccleuch sirloin steak, bearnaise sauce & chips, with iced prune parfait with a chocolate tart to finish. An afternoon tea menu is also now an option with a selection of homemade scones, sandwiches & designer cupcakes served on china designed by Zandra Rhodes.
