Go around the world in 80 minutes at Giraffe, the globally inspired chain that dares to put edamame, za’atar-spiced naan & Thai stir-fries on one menu. Not only that, it adds sunny-natured waiters, a soundtrack of peppy world beats, & some groovy smoothies to the animated mix. The result? An eatery you can trust for a not-too-intimate date or family meal with hard-to-please ‘tweens & teens. The assault of colourful options, from breakfasts to sharing plates, desserts to coffees, should suit those wanting to please larger groups, but purists may find it all a bit like ersatz ‘fusion’. A full list of wines, beers & cocktails is bolstered by bottles of Brooklyn lager & Rekorderlig cider aimed at the hipper customer. Around-the-clock deals help to keep bills down.
