Come the weekend, Upper Street’s chainy bars tend to be swamped with hen & stag nights & rowdy groups on the lash. This straight-friendly gay bar offers a change of scene that’s a breath of fresh air. There’s no attitude, staff are noted for their friendliness & you’re guaranteed a lively night out at this long, lean & unfussily decorated bar. Cocktails are fruity & original – try the Green Apple made with bison-grass vodka, apple schnapps & mint – there’s a decent range of bottled & draught beers, a reasonable wine list & tasty bar snacks, too.
