Tucked at the end of Chapel Market, this polished little bar is spread across two floors, with a basement Red Room, a ground-floor Amber Lounge, & cocktails to make lesser mixologists green with envy. Boys in shirts & girls in heels file past the burly bouncer & party to disco, house & club classics at weekends, or live bands midweek. All the classics are on the inventive cocktail menu, alongside creations such as Chilli & Chocolate (chilli muddled & shaken with Tequila, coffee & butterscotch liqueurs & cocoa powder) or the slinky Saigon Mistress (Hendrick’s gin, green Chartreuse, cucumber, lime, & ginger ale). There’s a limited choice of beer & wine too, plus dainty nibbles such as smoked ham & goats’ cheese croquettes, Somerset Brie & beetroot tartlets, & halloumi & sun-dried tomato brochettes.
