Ealing Green’s neighbourhood deli/café might resemble a 1950s shop – whitewashed brick walls, high ceilings, wooden shelving packed with comestibles, & a counter displaying deli goods & salads – but Farm W5 has a modern ethos, with organic & healthy foodstuffs to the fore. Sit at one of the tables at the back & invigorate yourself with a glass of banana, mango & papaya juice with extra gooji berries, or even an ‘immune elixir’ of Bionic Brain Tonic (carrot, tomato, celery, parsley). To eat, there are breakfasts of, say, organic eggs with avocado & feta salad, plus sandwiches, assorted platters (aubergine moussaka with rice), & Mediterranean-style mezze boxes containing the likes of falafel salad, tabbouleh & stuffed vine leaves. If that sounds a tad salubrious, you can always order some home-baked chocolate brownies or cheesecake for pud.
