Thai on the River

The only traffic seen from the glass-fronted conservatory of this romantic spot on the Thames path is on the river & above it. But though the proximity of Battersea Heliport can make for intermittently noisy afternoons & early evenings, especially when sitting alfresco, the vibrant cooking is always up to scratch. The chefs aren’t afraid to use the full palette of herbs & spices. The menu has plenty to intrigue: two recently discovered favourites are yum neua, a very spicy beef salad & plaa lard ma kahm – crispy fish with tamarind. A wide range of set menus is on hand for newcomers.
