Square Meal review of Blossom:
It was a brave step to open a modern Asian canteen next door to a Wagamama. But for this Korean-Japanese hybrid the gamble appears to have paid off, for this City incarnation of the Blossom concept has endured rather longer than the Hoxton Square original. If it lacks the funky style of its progenitor it’s smart & modern enough in a functional way. The menu eases back a little on the raw fish to offer instead a wide range of bento boxes, from grilled eel to pork, chicken & prawn katsu curries & a Korean bulgogi bento box with sliced beef, garlic & pear juice. There are Korean bibimbap rice hot pots, noodle soups & sashimi besides, as well as the inevitable sushi sets.
