Green & Blue’s owner, Kate Thal, was among the first to champion natural wines in London. Believing that wine shouldn’t be tampered with, she opened this relaxed wine bar & shop in 2005. The shop’s tightly edited selection of wine is arranged in helpful categories &, for £7 over retail price (Thursday to Sunday), customers can enjoy their chosen bottle in the adjoining bar, & also order plates of antipasti, tapas-style nibbles or cheese platters. Even better, there’s no corkage charge from Monday to Wednesday, so you’ll pay shop prices for the likes of Arcese from Vittorio Bera in Piedmont, an elegant partner to Italian hams & salamis. You can even bring your own food (for a £3 ‘chippage’ fee), leaving you free to splash out on a special bottle.
