Square Meal review of Gaucho Broadgate:
The Broadgate branch of the Argentinian chain has a glass cube housing a piazza-level bar set over a bustling restaurant below, decorated with Gaucho’s signature modern cowhide look. The menu is as beefy as a post-retirement Maradona & steak is, of course, the raison d’etre of the place: rump, sirloin, fillet or rib eye, in 225g, 300g or 400g portions. Even more unashamedly carnivorous is the gran parillada – a mixed grill of rump steak, lamb chops, morcilla, sweetbreads & chicken. Fish dishes include an Ecuadorian ceviche with tiger prawns & there are a few non-meat items for veggies. The Argentinian wine list includes a number of interesting, moderately priced, own-label bottles as well as the expected Malbecs.
