Take Ruby Blue for what it is – a fun club, bar & restaurant where anything from funky house & sexy R&B to lambada goes – & you’ll have a great night. Go expecting the most stylish thing since Kate Moss & you may be disappointed. In the jazzy, 1950s-inspired restaurant, a pianist tinkles on a baby-grand piano, & no-risk wines (a Chilean Sauvignon Blanc at £14.40) complement a three-course set menu (£19.95) or a la carte dining that ranges from gastropub (pot-roast chicken) to Asian fusion (tiger prawn & salmon brochette with coriander risotto & mango chilli salsa). The Royale Bar overlooks Leicester Square & has a Miami Beach-theme, while in the club area, you can lounge around in the booths & knock back rich shooters such as ‘Toblerone’.
