The Warwick’s stripped-back wood & cube leather seating has more in common with an All Bar One than the kitsch decor of its stablemates, the exuberant Tiger Tiger or gimmicky On Anon. Wines follow a failsafe format: there’s little to frighten the horses on a list aimed at the average supermarket shopper’s taste & budget. We like a New Zealand Babich Pinot Noir at £24.40 & prefer citrusy Bach Platinum Cava at £22.95 to house Champagne for summer drinking. Jacket potato with chilli con carne, beer-battered cod, Thai curry, & sausage & mash prevail in the evening, while lighter salads & chicken-based dishes are drafted in for the brisk lunchtime trade.
