If you crave a fine, peaty malt savoured in rarefied company, this brash pile is not for you – the Zoo can live up to its name when the going gets hectic. Twentysomething hedonists wig out on woo woo & bramble by the jug-load, or gulp a rocktail (vodka, Chambord, raspberry purée, lime & grenadine): cheap, by London standards, at £6.40. Wines suit shallow pockets, with a glass of cava at £4.50 & a bottle of Italian rosso or Sicilian bianco at £13.50. To eat, there’s pizza, fajitas, nachos &… well, you get the picture.
