These days diners like a little bit of entertainment with their dinner, & if it’s live flamenco dancers you’re after, then Costa Dorada is the place to shimmy along to. The basement restaurant is done out in luscious red drapes & chairs, with crisp white linen covering the tables. The a la carte menu is a lively affair, kicking off with zingy prawns fried with chilli & garlic, ahead of feisty paella, sea bream with basil potatoes & a citrus sauce, or lamb cutlets with oven-baked potatoes in a creamy sauce. For a lighter touch, there are tasty tapas options, including good meatballs & chorizo al vino. There’s regular Spanish music when dancers aren’t strutting their stuff & the atmosphere is always upbeat.
